atlaswalking 20/05/2008	High Atlas Mountains Toubkal Ascent (4167m) & Lake IFNI 8 days DAY 1 Transfer from Marrakech to the ski resort of Oukaimeden (2600 m) via Ourika valley crossing many berber villages. After lunch, small trek with ascension of Jbel Angour (3000 m). Return to Oukaimeden where we spend a night under tent. 3h30 walking. DAY 2 After breakfast , departure from Oukaimeden towards tachdirte via Tizi N'Addi 2960 m. Decent to the village at 2400 m altitude situated on the end of a typical valley inhabited by the berber people. Spend the night at the berber house.4H00 walking. DAY 3 From Tachddirt you trek down along Imenane Valley passing through many berber village (Ouanskra, Tamguiste, Tignrouine, Ikkis & Aguessioual), climb the Assaoun N'Tanamroute to reach Tizi n’ouguessioual 1700m and continue to Imlil 1700m. Overnight at the Auberge in Imlil. 05H00 of walking. DAY 4 After breakfast, departure from Imlil to Neltner refuge by a mule beaten path walking up the Ait Mizane valley the old trib on the high atlas mountains then pass through the shrine Sidi Chamharouch, Overnight under tent near the refuge 3200 m . 05H00 walking. DAY 5 An early breakfast around 5.00am, start at 6.00 the Ascension of Mt Toubkal 4165m., arriving after 3 houres walking to reach the highest point in north Africa, enjoy the views above all the high atlas mountains & its berbčres viillages & valleys. Picnic lunch Return to our bivouac near the refuge 06H00 walking. DAY 6 After breakfast, departure from Neltner to LAC d'Ifni passing through Tizi N'Ouanoums 3600 m. Lunch near the lac then continue on the afternoon towards a beautiful village of Amssouzart Overnight under tent at Amsouzarte 1740 m. 07H00 walking DAY 7 you leave the Amsouzarte village & heading up to Tiselday village via the terrace fields, a beautiful green villages of the Occidental Atlas Overnight under tent at Tiselday 1800 m. 04H00 walking. DAY 8 After breakfast, departure from Tiselday to TiziN'Taghrart 3200 m, descent to Sidi Chamharouch 2400 m. Continue to Imlil . Meet with our transportation and return to Marrakech airport.7h walking.
